Budget and Finance Unit

The Budget and Finance unit provides strategic leadership and financial stewardship that support Oregon State University’s mission, academic excellence, and long term institutional strength. Guided by the Associate Vice President and Deputy Chief Financial Officer, our unit oversees the university’s core financial operations and ensures responsible, transparent, and forward looking management of OSU’s resources. Our work enables the university to invest thoughtfully in students, research, infrastructure, and the statewide service mission that defines OSU.

Controller

Serves as a strategic steward of the university’s financial integrity, ensuring OSU’s long term fiscal resilience through rigorous accounting practices, transparent financial reporting, and robust internal controls. Beyond managing core functions such as general accounting, student billing, and accounts receivable, the unit provides actionable financial insights that strengthen decision making across the institution.

Procurement, Payment and Travel

Serves as a strategic partner in advancing OSU’s mission by ensuring that purchasing and contracting decisions deliver long term value, mitigate risk, and support institutional priorities.
